If you find your stream freezing or lagging, it is in an unstable state. You will need to make the appropriate adjustments to your broadcasting environment. Below are some tips to improve the stability of your stream:

Check your broadcasting environment

To make your stream run smoothly, please make sure to check that your PC and internet connection meet the required specifications. For more details, check this help page: What are the required specifications for running Peatix Live events?

Switch to a faster, more reliable internet connection

If you find that the upload speed of your internet connection does not meet the required speed for streaming, we suggest that you switch to a faster, more reliable internet connection.

We recommend using a wired internet connection over a Wi-Fi connection, as the latter tends to easily slow down when the network is congested, thus making your stream freeze or lag.

Adjust your streaming settings

It is possible that the streaming settings (e.g., video size, bitrate) you have entered in your streaming software are not appropriate for your broadcasting environment. Refer to this help page and adjust your streaming settings: How to select the optimal settings for my Peatix Live event.
