When you attempt to place Boost orders from the Promote page after publishing an event, you may find that the “Purchase tag boost” or “Purchase email boost” buttons cannot be clicked.

The possible reasons are listed below.

Event is currently being reviewed

If you find a section on the Promote page that says “Your event is being reviewed”, it means that Peatix has not yet finished reviewing your event page. You will be able to boost your event once the page has been approved. Please check again in a few days.

Please note that not all events will be approved after going through the review. For examples of events that will not be approved, check this help page: Why doesn't my event appear on Peatix Search?

Your event has not been tagged

To boost your event, you will first need to set search tags to your event. If you find a section on the Promote page that says “Tag your event”, it means that you did not tag your event when you published your event page. Click the “Tag this event” button to select search categories.

For more information on search tags, please see Can I set search tags for my event?

Event is set to “Unlisted” or “Password-protected”

If your event is password-protected or unlisted, you will not be able to place Boost orders. To boost your event, you will need to make your event public.

For details on how to change your event privacy setting, please see How can I manage my event privacy setting?

The ticket sales deadline for the event has passed

If none of the above applies to you, it is possible that the ticket sales deadline for your event has passed. Please refer to this help page and extend the ticket sales deadline for your event as necessary: How to change the ticket sales period.
